La cartella di fotografie è stata stampata in 160 copie di cui 100 copie numerate da 1/160 a 100/160 in numeri arabi, 50 copie numerate da CI/CLX a CL/CLX in numeri romani e 10 prove d’artista numerate da 151/160 AP a 160/160 AP. La cartella contiene una selezione di immagini tratte dall’archivio privato di Franko B, che documentano i momenti più salienti della vita e delle performance eseguite dall’artista italo-inglese nel corso degli ultimi 15 anni. Scrive la curatrice della cartella: “Questa cartella propone un rischiaramento della sua opera, una filosofia, un accenno alla potenza della fotografia in sé, della sua capacità di riprodurre all’infinito, meccanicamente, ciò che ha avuto luogo una sola volta. Foto in cui l’immagine restituita è immobile, in cui l’artista diventa l’oggetto, foto che lo animano e che lui anima. Ognuna di queste immagini crea una sorta di fuori-campo che conferisce a questa serie di ritratti una vita esteriore, una copresenza”.

160 copies of this selection of photographs were printed overall, including: 100 copies numbered 1/160 through 100/160; 50 copies with Roman numerals from CI/CLX through CL/CLX; and 10 artist’s proofs numbered 151/160 AP through 160/160 AP. The selection contains a series of images taken Franko B’s private archives, documenting key moments from this Italian-English artist’s life and performances over the past 15 years. The curator who oversaw the project: “This selection offers a window into the artist’s work and philosophy, as well as a nod to the power of photography in and of itself, to its ability to mechanically reproduce into infinity that which has taken place just one single time. They are photos in which the image given back to us is immobile, in which the artist becomes object, photos that animate him and which he animates. Each of these images creates a sort of ‘offstage’ that confers an exterior life, a co-presence to this series of portraits.”
